It’s something of a cliché to say you never stop learning but it is true. That is, if you want to learn. Despite writing about the tech industry since 1989, I have retained my hunger for knowledge and desire to continuously improve my writing. I am always curious about people and technology, so asking questions is never a problem. Deciphering complex ideas and applying reason comes with experience. Delivering engaging stories is the job.
I have written for a range of publications since 2015 including The Guardian, Raconteur (The Times), Computer Weekly, The Register, ERP Today and Board Agenda. I am also editor of a new tech innovation title called BI Foresight, covering AI, quantum, robotics, advanced materials, telecoms and cybersecurity.
Previous experience (including a stint in PR) has seen me ghost write articles for IT execs, politicians, musicians, lawyers and even an actor. This work appeared in The Times, The Guardian, Management Today, New Statesman, Politics.co.uk and a range of industry trade titles.
Today I continue to work for some corporate businesses, writing for leading names such as Salesforce, H-P, SAP, PwC and ServiceMax.
There is also an occassional blog looking back at working in IT publications since 1989. See We have (tech) history
